  • The event is open to all researchers, phd’s, postdocs, university staff, investors, industry leaders, policy makers with an interest in innovation, entrepreneurship and/or collaboration from across Europe

  • Expect a full packed day with 3 keynote spekaers, international Q&A panels and debates, workshops, pitch competitions, networking and matchmaking opportunities.

  • The summit kicks-off at 9.15 am,

    First keynote is at 10.15, lunch is at 12.45 pm, 2nd keynote starts at 1.30 pm and 3rd at 4.45 pm.

    For those participants who opt fort the dinner, the doors open at 5.45 pm and close at 9.30pm.

  • By Public Transport

    Train
    Ostend station is about a 10-minute walk away. Cross the bridge opposite the station, turn briefly to the right, and then immediately left, heading towards the large church (St. Peter & Paul Church). Keep to the left of the church, continue straight until you reach the tram tracks, then turn right. De Grote Post is 150 meters further on your right-hand side.

    Coastal Tram
    Trams stop very close to the cultural center (about 100 meters away), at the Marie-Joséplein stop. From Ostend train station, it is just one stop by tram in the direction of De Panne.

    Bus
    Many city buses operated by De Lijn stop at Marie-Joséplein. The cultural center is just a short 100-meter walk from there. From the park-and-ride at Maria-Hendrikapark, Centrumbus Line 1 also stops at Marie-Joséplein.

    Buses from all city districts run to the station. From there, you can easily walk to the cultural center, or take the tram towards De Panne (from Ostend train station it’s just one stop).Plan your journey via www.delijn.be.

    By Bicycle
    There is bicycle parking in front of the cultural center (Hendrik Serruyslaan) and on the side of the building (Wittenonnenstraat).

    By Car
    In good weather, on weekends, and during holidays, Ostend can be very busy. Keep this in mind to allow enough time to find parking.

    When entering Ostend via the E40/A10, follow the signs for Centrum (2nd exit at the roundabout). Continue straight to Vuurkruisenplein (you’ll see the sailing ship Mercator ahead of you), and take the 3rd exit at the roundabout. Go straight through the traffic lights.

  • Yes, there’s several options to park at the venue, or close by the venue:

    Paid Parking: Zeeparking
    Park your car underground or above ground. This parking is paid.

    Surrounding Streets
    Paid parking is available in the surrounding streets. Please note: parking spaces are limited! More info: oostende.be/parkeer or parkindigo.be.

    Free Parking
    Park-and-Ride Maria-Hendrikapark / Graaf de Smet de Naeyerlaan
    When entering Ostend via the E40/A10, first follow Centrum (2nd exit at the roundabout). Continue straight to Vuurkruisenplein (you’ll see the sailing ship Mercator ahead of you), and take the 2nd exit at the roundabout (a supermarket will be on your right). At the traffic lights, turn right to reach the Maria-Hendrikapark park-and-ride.

    Parking at Maria-Hendrikapark is free. From there, you can either walk about 10–15 minutes or take Centrumbus Line 1, which stops at Marie-Joséplein (De Grote Post is 75 meters away)

  • You can enter the building either via the stairs or by using the elevator (located to the right of the stairs). Feel free to ask one of our staff members for any assistance you may need.

    If you have limited mobility, please note that in our halls you can avoid stairs by selecting the appropriate seat on the seating plan.

    For ‘the Kleine Post’ hall, it is best to choose a seat in rows A, B or C

  • Yes, there’s several breaks, during which you can grab a tea/coffee or cold drink. Lunch is served for all participants between 12.45 pm and 1.30pm. But be aware that food and drinks are only allowed in the Panorama Hall, you cannot take it with you for a workshop, panel, keynote or Q&A sesssion. Besides the summit catering, there’s also the CultureCafé on the groundfloor and for those participants with a full day ticket and dinner, there’s besides the reception, a seated dinner will be offered.

  • Make free use of our cloakroom. For safety reasons, this is mandatory. Please hang your coat on one of the secured coat racks yourself and keep your key safe! You can find the cloakrooms on the ground floor, to the right of the Grote Post hall, and on the third floor, to the right of the elevator. Our volunteers will be happy to give you a hand.

  • You can purchase your ticket through our website. Several payment methods are available. Once your payment is confirmed, you will receive your ticket by email, along with an invoice.

  • Tickets are personal and non-refundable.

  • Please bring your ticket (either printed or on your phone) to the event.

  • You can register at the information desk on the day of the event, or contact us in advance via the contact form on our website.
